Broken Camera

Mon Nov 3, 2008, 3:19 PM
Well... I knew it couldn't be too good. My camera's command dial just broke. It doesn't work at all. This is how I would choose my manual settings and now I can't.><

I was out shooting a cool alignment of Jupiter and the moon and... I can't change the shutter speed ("Whaaaaaaat?!"). I looked it up and this is pretty much a defect because it has happened to sooo many people. I hope it's still under warranty. If not... then I can't shoot any astrophotography pictures for a while

What a nightmare! I hope you get it sorted very soon ! I bet that would have been a cool shot!

Thanks.

I thought it was a cool shot, I had some nice foreground too.>< The only shots I got were, too dark (Jupiter is just about a pixel), or over exposed and slightly unfocused.

It's so aggravating!:disbelief:

ah, that's ok.. We all get these times when trying to take pics! I'd tell you about my bad times outside, but i haven't got all night! lol! I've lost count of how many times I've set up, polar-aligned, found something, focused, then the clouds have rolled in! Then pack away gain.. wastes over an hour! Ah well, gotta take the rough with the smooth ! You'll get some good ones soon :)

Oh nooooo! At least that's never happened to me yet... When the nights are clear, they usually stay so until the morning. Then they can get more cloudy.:P I hope you continue to get good nights!! ^^
